Polynucleotides are renown for their regenerative properties. They are the basic building blocks of DNA and RNA. In the context of skincare and cosmetic treatments, polynucleotide injectables can promote healing, tissue regeneration and overall skin rejuvenation.
When injected into the skin, polynucleotides work by stimulating the body’s natural repair processes. They help to enhance collagen production, improve skin elasticity and increase hydration, leading to smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.
Additionally, polynucleotides have anti-inflammatory properties, making them effective in treating a variety of skin conditions, such as, skin texture, scars, fine lines and even stretch marks.
Ideal for anyone looking to achieve a more youthful, radiant complexion, polynucleotides offer long-lasting benefits that go beyond surface-level treatments. Whether you're combating signs of aging or simply want to boost your skin's overall vitality, polynucleotides provide a safe and natural solution that delivers visible results.

Are polynucleotides safe?
Yes, polynucleotides are considered very safe. They have been used within the NHS for medical treatments for over two decades, particularly in wound healing and tissue repair. In aesthetic medicine, polynucleotides are typically derived from purified and processed DNA of natural origins. So, they are biocompatible, meaning they are well-tolerated by the body and the risk of adverse reactions is very low.
How many sessions will I need?
Typically, a series of 2 to 3 sessions spaced about 2 to 4 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. These sessions are designed to kickstart the rejuvenation process and address deeper skin concerns.
After the initial series, maintenance sessions are usually suggested every 3 to 6 months to sustain and enhance results.
When will I see results?
For more noticeable and comprehensive results, such as significant improvements in fine lines, wrinkles and overall skin rejuvenation, it typically takes about 8 to 12 weeks after completing the full series of treatments. The skin's healing and collagen production processes continue to evolve over this period, leading to gradual and lasting enhancements.
Consistency with the recommended number of sessions and following post-treatment care instructions will help you achieve and maintain the best results.

What happens at my appointment?
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be shown to our clinic room. Our aesthetic nurse will answer any questions you may still have regarding the treatment and review your consent form. If you are happy to go ahead, the treatment will start.
We will remove all make up first. We will then apply a numbing cream to your face 10 - 15 minutes prior to injections. Once your face is feeling numb, your face will be wiped of the cream and then cleansed with an anti-microbial. The polynucleotides are injected into the superficial layer of your skin, sometimes as many as 50+ injections are performed if treating a large area.
Afterwards, the injection sites will be cleansed and a collagen mask applied for 5 - 10 minutes to treated area to maximise the benefits of collagen stimulation.
Are there any side effects after treatment?
Some side effects include:
Redness and / or swelling at the injection sites is common and treated areas can sometimes look like they have nettle stings, which usually subside within a few hours to a couple of days.
Minor bruising can occur, particularly if the injection was near a blood vessel. This typically fades within a week.
Some clients might experience mild itching or discomfort, which generally resolves on its own.
Allergic Reactions: Although rare, some individuals may experience an allergic reaction to the treatment. This is usually mild but should be monitored.
Downtime after these injections can sometimes last a few days and clients may prefer to ensure they don't have any social events in the days following treatment, this can include meetings, weddings, parties or going away on holiday.
It's important to note that you will not see a change straight away. It takes about 12 weeks to see the regenerative effects of the treatment after all recommended sessions.
